6 New Marriage Candidates in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, Who Will You Marry?
Yesterday, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition for PS4 and Nintendo Switch was officially released in North America. For PAL territories (including Europe) will be released on June 22th, 2018.
As reported by Gematsu, there were several features added by Natsume in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition.
The one that caught my attention was the presence of six new marriage candidates. There are 3 new bachelors and 3 new bachelorettes, depending on whether you choose a girl or a boy as the main character.

Okay, here are the new candidates you can marry in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition:
Shirlock and Michelle
There was no presence of these two characters in the PC version. So for sure, they are new villagers who come to Beacon Town.
Shirlock is a young journalist and self-proclaimed detective, studying under Naomi's guidance, while Michelle is Doc's partner in research. Shirlock's name sounds familiar, it seems to be inspired by Sherlock Holmes' character who is also a great detective.
They will also be one of the marriage candidates in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. But you have to buy the DLC (Downloadable Content) to unlock these characters for marriage.
Soleil (Female) and Soleil (Male)
As I've already mentioned in the article: Harvest Moon: Light of Hope for PS4 and Switch, there are 2 mysterious characters sealed in the crystal.
And after being revealed by Natsume, It is known that her name is Soleil, a new character you can marry if she becomes a human. Her gender will be opposite to the character you choose.
Soleil is a special marriage candidate who also helps you on the farm. Starting from planting crops, taking care of animals, and collecting materials.

Gorgan and Harvest Goddess

Looks like a suggestion to marry the Harvest Goddess I wrote on Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Review was made a reality by Natsume. But, it did not occur to me that we can also marry Gorgan!
Just like Shirlock and Michelle, you can marry them if you buy the DLC. This is very interesting since Gorgan is a God and already has a daughter, Nova.
If you marry him (Gorgan), that means, Nova who is the same age as you and one of the marriage candidates, will be your stepdaughter, haha.
And I think, Gorgan is too old to marry a young woman (like your character). Imagine how the villagers react to this, what are they thinking? π
