Easiest Way to Get a Lot of Hardwood Lumber in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

Lumber is a very important material in Harvest Moon games, as well as in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope (LoH).

There are basically 2 types of lumber i.e. Softwood and Hardwood Lumber. Both are used for upgrading your home, repairing the bridges and villager's houses.

Softwood Lumber is very easy to get and maybe most of you already know how to get it.

That's right! If we want to get Softwood Lumber, just cut down the softwood tree that looks like a pine tree. You can use the Axe lent by Naomi to cut it down.

What about Hardwood Lumber?

If you look closely, two types of trees grow, just like the type of lumber, the pine tree as I have explained above, and another tree with pink leaf color in Spring.

The fluffy pink-colored tree in the Spring is a hardwood tree. If you want to get Hardwood Lumber, you have to cut down that tree.

But you will not be able to cut it using the Axe given by Naomi at the beginning of the game. You need at least an Expert Axe to cut the hardwood tree. So, first of all, you have to upgrade your Axe to Expert Axe at Gus's Smithy.

Once you have an Expert Axe, you can cut the hardwood trees to get lots of hardwood lumber. Cut the top and bottom stems to get approximately 1-3 Hardwood Lumber.

But if you upgrade your Axe to a higher level again, you will get more Hardwood Lumber because it's easier for you to cut down more trees with less stamina.

In addition, you can also buy Softwood and Harwood Lumber, and its tree seeds from Sam for around 200 G if you already have a lot of money. That's the easiest and quickest way to get lumber.

Once it is cut down, both Softwood and Hardwood trees will take several days to regrow.
